19 Nov The Advancement of Play
The annual NRPA Congress and Exposition in Minneapolis featured a wide variety of commercial playground equipment advancement. A drastic shift from traditional post and deck structures has occurred over the last few years, and new creations and designs are breaking their way through the mould. Dynamo has always been on the cutting edge of design and creation – even before it became popular – which led to unique designs like the Biggo, Apollo and Star Nets, just to name a few. More than ever, the public is demanding unique ideas with tons of play value so that children will spend hours at the playground, actively playing, without any desire to leave.
Walking through the rows at the Convention Center in Minneapolis during the NRPA’s Congress and Exposition you could see how far innovation and technology have transformed this industry into something extremely competitive. Products that really stood out this year were the natural themes and pirate themed structures which take the children on an imagination journey. Although there were many creative ideas and designs at the exposition this year, what really seem to be taking over the market are the wide variety of net products. This is partially due to Dynamo’s tenacious desire over the last decade to change people’s pre-conceived ideas concerning the safety of the net structures. The reality is that net structures have been proven time and time again for safety and play value and people can’t get enough of them.
Dynamo’s philosophy is to take challenge to next level, breaking away from the “norm” and giving children what they really want – FUN!
