26 Aug Signature Park Gets an Ancient Twist
While Dynamo is usually known for being on the leading edge of the most current in playground designs and technology, the latest Dynamo installation at Du Moulin Park in Rockland, ON, takes users in a completely opposite direction – more than 3000 years in the past – to Ancient Egypt
Du Moulin Park features the Dynamo IMAGINE piece “Play Like an Egyptian” which is a pyramid-themed climbing structure, complete with Egyptian hieroglyphics. This piece is a natural fit next to the Dynamo DX-103 Pyramid Net Climber that it is attached to via a rope bridge. Children of all ages can spend hours climbing, playing and using their imaginations as they are transported back to the days of the Pharaohs. And when the children are ready to come back to the present, Du Moulin Park also features a DX-2100-F Apollo Rotating Climber and DX-1101 Jumping Spider for even more fun.
With all these exciting play features in one location, Dynamo has helped create another destination park for the City of Rockland, a smaller city outside Ottawa that has installed its third Dynamo park in as many years. Du Moulin Park is already a main hub for the city, as it is on the waterfront with picnic facilities and the town marina nearby. However, since the installation was completed, traffic at the park has increased significantly with parents and grandparents spending hours playing alongside their children and grandchildren.
To celebrate this new park, Dynamo is hosting its First Annual Barbeque and Corn Roast on Saturday, September 5th from 11am to 3pm (rain date September 6th). Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item, with all proceeds going to the Rockland Food Bank. Come on out and join with us as we celebrate the grand opening of Du Moulin Park in Rockland, ON – a signature Dynamo park with an Ancient Egyptian twist!
