IPEMA Certification Achieved

n the interest of playground safety, the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) provides a Third Party Certification Service whereby a designated independent laboratory, TUV America, (TUV), validates an equipment manufacturer's certification of conformance to ASTM F1487, Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use, except sections 7.1.1, 10 and 12.6.1; to CAN/CSA Z614, Children's Playspaces and Equipment, except clauses 9.8, 10 & 11; or both. The use of the corresponding logo in Dynamo Playgrounds' Website signifies that Dynamo Playgrounds has received written validation from the independent laboratory that the product(s) associated with the use of the logo conforms to the requirements of the indicated standard. Check the IPEMA website (www.ipema.org) to confirm product validation.

At Dynamo, we have been working hard over the past several months on the continued safety and quality improvement of our unique, fun commercial playground equipment. We are happy to announce that as of now, more than 20 products are certified to both ASTM F-1487 and CSA Z614 playground standards. This includes products already certified to EN-1176 through the TUV certificates already held. As you browse the website, you will see these certified products clearly indicated by the certification logos. Check back often, as more products will be certified in the near future!There is nothing written in most commercial playground equipment standards that mandates leaving openings in the playground equipment to allow the children playing on it to be seen well. While some guidelines make mention of good sightlines, in large part it is left to the part of the playground designer to adhere to good design principles.
