4th of July on Marathon Key

Sombrero Beach is known as one of the best places in the Florida Keys to celebrate the 4th of July. The holiday weekend is always a busy time, with people traveling from near and far to enjoy the always-talked-about Marathon celebration. This year, residents and visitors had an extra treat as the City of Marathon unveiled their brand new Dynamo playground with the grand opening of this special ocean-side play area timed to coincide with the festivities.

Dynamo's design team, in close conjunction with distributor Korkat's local sales rep AnnaMarie, worked diligently to propose the best possible playground design to replace the aging existing play structures for Marathon. Three Dynamo pieces were chosen to provide exciting active play which appeals to a wide range of ages. Mayor Ginger Snead could hardly contain her excitement as the installation was taking shape, and the front page of the Marathon Weekly News shows how happy she and the community were with the success of the project.

Rob Lockhart, US Sales Manager for Dynamo, was on site for the installation and the fireworks, enjoying the hospitality of the islands. If you have the chance, the folks in Marathon would love for you stop by to visit too!
